The monuments that dot the foggy hills and plains almost seem to reach up to the heavens as the sun comes down to greet them – coating everything in absolute brilliance. Like God himself painted it.
Angel Falls, Venezuela
This is the world’s highest waterfall with a height of 979 meters – that’s 3,212 feet for non-Europeans who happen to be reading this. Though reaching these falls can be a little obtuse, the sheer enormity of this natural wonder is certainly worth it.
A city literally carved into the very mountain, it was used by Arab settlers as a primary trade route. Even after all these years, it still stands.
